Museum Consulting
I was on staff of the South Carolina State Museum for thirty years where I learned the details and procedures used in museum work. There are many methods and practices connected with the operation, interaction and inspiration of all museums. There are similarities in the running of large and small institutions. The rules and procedures of both are governed by the same “best practice” guidelines.
I enjoy helping new and growing organizations, with a fresh set of eyes, examining creative ways to rethink the goals and ambitions of its organization.
To begin the process, I will agree to make my initial contact at a museum for free. I will be glad to meet with any museum leadership, public or private, within a reasonable distance of Columbia, South Carolina and discuss their needs. From structural design to image options, to collection methodologies, I specialize is possibilities. I will help or point them in the direction of someone who can. I look forward to being of service!
