Quality Audio - The "Vocalite" has excellent quality sound reproduction. Different applications require different levels of performance. The higher the sample rate the better the quality.   The higher the quality the more memory needed.  The more memory the higher the cost.  What we've tried to do with the "Vocalite" is to provide the highest quality audio keeping in mind the overall cost.  We do have versions with higher sampling rates but they loose substantially in length of play.  Let us know your needs and we will recommend the appropriate design.

          Very high quality - 60 seconds - 8 KHz sampling rate - 3.4 KHz 3dB roll-off point           High quality - 90 seconds - 5.3 KHz sampling rate - 2.3 KHz 3dB roll-off point
Good quality - 120 seconds - 4 KHz sampling rate - 1.7 KHz 3dB roll-off point

         Each "Vocalite" has the capacity to support two chips of the same quality..
Maximum play time should be figured accordingly.

No moving parts - The beauty of digital play back is that there is nothing to wear out.

Palm size / two ounces - We worked very hard to keep the size of the "Vocalite" as small as possible.   It is easily mounted with VELCRO almost anywhere.

Onsite recording - Unlike other digital players, the "Vocalite" can be recorded wherever it is mounted using a prerecorded tape or simply a microphone plugged into the unit itself.

Nonvolatile memory - Simply put, the "Vocalite's" memory chip is nonvolatile and does not depend on external power to maintain the memory.  If an electrical storm causes a power outage the unit will begin again when the power is restored.  No matter how long it takes.

Internal amplifier - We have included a 1 watt amp  in the "Vocalite" to keep the overall installation small and eliminate the need to purchase the additional piece of equipment.   It is more than enough volume for all but a few applications.

Seamless loop - This is one of the areas where the "Vocalite" really shines.  Since the unit is digital and has instant start, when the loop switch is on the recorded audio is seamless.   A recorded background sound effect runs forever with no way to hear the end or the beginning.

 Operates on 5v adapter, battery or solar cell - Another special feature is the "Vocalite's" low voltage.  Because it operates on only 5volts it can be successfully operated on battery or small solar cell.  In addition we perfected a power-down which drops the power consumption to 12 microamps when the unit is not in use.   Due to the low current usage the solar panels designed to operate the "Vocalite" are very small as well.

"Vocalite" System- The "Vocalite' can be configured in what we call the "Vocalite" System.  The System places the "Vocalite" in a cabinet with a speaker, button and a power supply.  It is self contained and is truely a "push and play" device.
